OKAY LADIES! LET’S GET IN FORMATION! I heard that January was a “Trial Month” because some of us have been testing out ways that works for us to help accomplish our goals. (For example, I’ve been trying out different fitness classes to help my weight loss journey)
Nevertheless College/Work is back in action for Spring ’17 and we are one step closer to our goal but in order to get there… we have to get our lives in order.
Now if you need some tips on how to get through this semester then check out my previous post “5 tips to finish the semester strong“. Of course, education and careers are important but we can’t reach the #GIRLBOSS status if we don’t tackle some minor things that typically affect us on a day to day basis. These three habits are things that you need to pick up to help you in the long run, got it?
WOO! If you would’ve said this about two months ago, I probably would’ve called you a big fat liar. But one of my new year resolutions is to lose weight and the one thing people didn’t tell me about was the satisfaction you feel from exercising. I want to call the gym my second home, but I’ll probably recant when the instructor tells me to plank for 30 more seconds. Exercising boosts your self esteem and energy while helping you control your weight. Can it get any better than that? If you have a hectic schedule, exercising will be that time of the day where you focus on nothing but the aching pains of your muscles. Sounds exciting right?! Well, the aching doesn’t but who doesn’t want a bomb body and a boost of self esteem?!
Most dreaded. I know… at least as a poor college student, it is! But I realized that I’ll be 21 this year and whether or not I’m in college… I have to have SOME type of savings account right? Isn’t that apart of “adulting”? I opened a savings account for my #SavingSeventeenChallenge at a small bank that would only allow me to get an ATM card to make deposits! Learning how to save money throughout the year rather than splurging on wants rather than needs will not only build our bank accounts but our character as well. Self Discipline is the shiznieeee.
WAKING UP EARLIER
Ok, I know. It sounds bad. But I have a terrible habit of laying in bed for an extra 30-45 minutes after my alarm goes off then I end up rushing to do whatever I have to do. Whether its 45 minutes or 15 minutes, that time can be made doing something productive. I’m going to start studying the bible when I wake up earlier instead of later on, Why? Strengthening my faith is my #1 goal so why not make it my first priority of the day?
These may seem difficult to do for some of you but tackle one thing at a time and watch the improvement.
